CASTLE ROCK, Colo. -- Volunteers are still needed for the annual Helping Hands project.
Helping Hands is a community outreach project that repairs one family's home each year.
"We go in as a group and rehabilitate their home," Michelle Hayes said.
This year's recipient is a single mother in Castle Rock who is caring for two disabled children.
Volunteers will spend Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28, doing brick work, touching up paint, cleaning gutters, replacing appliances, doing tree trimming and other work.
"All the materials and time is based on the generosity of those without our organization and the community," Hayes said.
Helping Hands is a project created by the Denver Metro Association of Realtors, but all volunteers are welcome. To volunteer, call 303-756-0553.
