5:58 p.m.: The CU Boulder Police said they have taken the man into custody.
5:50 p.m.: The CU Boulder alerts website states "a reporting party told Police that he was threatening suicide in the Caruthers Biotech Building. The reporting party said he had a gun. In an abundance of caution, officers with guns drawn entered the building and did not find the reporting party." Officers believe there is no longer a threat. Officers are continuing to look for the reporting party.
5:37 p.m.: CU Boulder police are advising students and the public at-large to avoid the area between Colorado and Arapahoe along 30th Street due to a continuing search of a "dangerous man" reported at the CU Boulder campus.

5:27 p.m.: CU Boulder PD says they have cleared the Caruthers Biotech building after not finding the suspect. The investigation has been turned over to Boulder police, who are actively searching for the man at this time.
5:13 p.m.: CU Boulder Police have issued an alert for a "dangerous man reported inside the Caruthers Biotech building. Police from campus and the city are searching the area with weapons out.
