12:30 p.m.: A popping sound at Colorado Mesa University's Saunders Field created quite a scare for people in the area who thought an active shooter was on the loose. The Mesa County Sheriff said the popping sound was the result of sound equipment that malfunctioned.

10:08 a.m.: South Metro Fire Rescue firefighters were working a house fire at 15696 E. Prentice Lane in Centennial. The incident was under control as of 8 a.m., firefighters say.
7:47 a.m.: A welfare check at a Littleton home had residents on edge Sunday morning, as police worked a scene in the 6000 block of S. Stern Parkway. It turned out a neighbor called 911 after seeing a man with a gun. No one was injured and the situation was resolved.
