10:13 a.m. – Weld RE-5J Superintendent Leslie Arnold said that Roosevelt High School was evacuated Tuesday morning after a Safe2Tell report on recommendation from the Weld County Sheriff Department and Johnstown Police Department. Arnold said transportation had been organized to get students to Grace Community Church so that parents can pick up their children. Arnold said some of the students did not obey the order to go to the church.
8:10 a.m. — Mountain View Fire Rescue said they confirmed the semi driver was able to crawl out on their own and was not ejected. Click here for the latest story.
7:54 a.m. — Fire Chief Dave Beebe of Mountain View Fire Rescue said a school bus driver and two students on the bus had possible minor injuries following a crash with a semi near the intersection of Highway 66 and County Road 13 in Weld County. All three are being transported to a local hospital. The driver of the semi was thrown from the vehicle and transported to a hospital, the fire chief said. That intersection is currently closed. Beebe said heavy fog is present in the area and believed to have been a factor in the crash.
