Free things to do in Denver on Presidents Day

DENVER -- Many of you are off work today, and many of you have kids off school because of President's Day.

If you're looking for something free to do, we've got some ideas:

• The Denver Botanic Gardens is offering free admission today, and yes, there are things to see at the gardens in the winter. No tickets are needed for admission to Free Days. Free Days are for regular Gardens hours only and do not include ticketed events.
• Rocky Mountain National Park is also offering free admission today.
• The Hammonds Candies factory in Denver is open today and giving free tours. We're told employees will be working today so it should be a good time to see the factory in action.
