DENVER – Four people were taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation after fire broke out at a Denver home early Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to a home on Knox Court, a few blocks west of Lincoln High School, at about 1:30 a.m.
Before fire crews arrived on scene, neighbors rushed into the burning home to help, pulling three people out of the building. Those three people and one neighbor were transported to area hospitals.
Firefighters said the fire appears to have started in the garage and then spread to the back of the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
