There has been a little snow over the southern foothills and the southeast plains, but most areas near Denver have only seen partly cloudy skies.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for western Kansas and the panhandle of Oklahoma. Total snow accumulations is expected to be just an inch or two, with wind gusts around 40 mph. Roads in these areas will be slippery hazardous.

For Thursday into the weekend, the skies will clear and warmer conditions will move in. The weekend will bring highs in the 50s to the eastern plains and upper 30s to 40s for the mountains.

Snow isn't expected to hit the state again until possibly the end of next week, when a storm system will move over the entire western United States.
