PARKER, Colo. – A brush fire that scorched 14 acres of land in Douglas County Thursday afternoon is believed to be human caused, according to South Fire Metro Rescue officials.
The fire burned south of E-470 between Parker Road and Jordan Road. It was called in around noon Thursday.

Authorities closed Pine Lane from Wintergreen to 20 Mile because of the fire. No structures were threatened and no evacuations were ordered for the area.
The fire was 100 percent contained by about 3:15 p.m., fire crews said on Twitter.
Police are now investigating how the fire was set ablaze.
The dry and warm conditions have increased fire danger in the area. The Front Range is not expecting any sort of precipitation until next Thursday.
