DENVER – Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Wednesday, Nov. 8.

1. Denver passes GO bond measures
Voters overwhelmingly approved a $937 million general obligation bond package that will push money into 460 projects mostly related to transportation and mobility, and appear close to having approved the Green Roof Initiative. More info here.

2. First openly transgender state lawmaker elected
Virginia voters elected the nation's first openly transgender candidate to the Virginia House of Delegates on Tuesday. Danica Roem unseated incumbent delegate Bob Marshall

3. Leads prompt new search for evidence in case of missing pregnant Denver woman
Authorities announced multiple searches are being conducted in the Pueblo area in hopes of collecting enough evidence to bring charges in the Kelsie Schelling case. The renewed efforts were prompted by recent leads, but authorities declined to specify the nature of those leads.

4. Memorial service for Walmart victim
A memorial service for Carlos Moreno, one of three victims in the Thornton Walmart shooting, will be held Wednesday at a Northglenn church.

5. Sun returns
The sun will return on Wednesday and temperatures will respond, climbing back to the low 50s in the afternoon.
