DENVER -- Stacey Rodriguez keeps a stack of face masks in her car so she can let her son choose the design he wants to wear. He had a face mask with dinosaurs and one with flames on it, he even helped pick them out.

When Rodriguez went out to her car, she soon realized something wasn't right. The masks that had been hanging from the gearshift were gone.

"I understand you may be poor or whatever and need stuff but don’t steal people’s masks; like, really that’s kind of gross sort of, that’s gross," said Rodriguez.

The masks were specially made for her 7-year-old son who has sensory issues, so it's not like she can run out to the store and replace them.

"I just don’t understand," said Rodriguez.

She said the thief also took her son's coat, a small knife and hand sanitizer. Rodriguez said it appeared someone went through her mom's car too.
