DENVER – A mainstay of Denver’s dining scene is getting ready to close its doors after 45 years.
The Old Spaghetti Factory on 18th Street in lower downtown will close in September. Its last day of business will be Sept. 16.
Director of Marketing Ryan Durrett said the restaurant’s lease expired and the company was unable to negotiate an extension.
While the Denver restaurant is closing its doors, the chain isn’t leaving the metro area altogether. The Old Spaghetti Factory on Sheridan Boulevard in Westminster will remain open.
Durrett said the company also is looking for new locations in the area.
“We are aggressively looking for another location in Denver or elsewhere in Colorado,” Durrett said. “We believe strongly in the market.”
