DENVER - Weddings can be incredibly expensive but in Denver on Wednesday, you'll be able to tie the knot for just the cost of a marriage license.
In a Valentine's Day tradition, The Denver Clerk and Recorder's office will be offering free wedding ceremonies on Feb. 14 (You'll still need to pay the $30 for a marriage license, which is required by the state).
The city will have judges and members of clergy on hand to officiate ceremonies and there also will be food, drinks and drawings for gifts from local businesses.
The free ceremonies will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Webb Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave.
Officials recommend that couples fill out all of their paperwork online ahead of time in order to cut down on the wait.
