Denver Police shot a suspect, who opened fire on officers, Sunday night in downtown Denver.
Officers were called to the area of 20th Street and Arapahoe Street for a report a suspect who was making threats, according to the Denver Police twitter account.
When officers arrived on scene, the suspect opened fire. Officers shot back and hit the suspect in the arm, according to tweets from the police department.
The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No officers on scene were injured from the shots.
Police closed Arapahoe Street from 19th Street to 21st Street Sunday night.
The investigation is ongoing.
