DENVER — Police in Denver issued a Medina Alert for the driver of a Toyota truck that fled the scene of a crash that wounded a motorcyclist.

Police said the driver of the Toyota crashed into a motorcycle on a 6th Avenue Frontage Road at Tennyson Street Saturday afternoon.

The person driving the motorcycle suffered a broken leg and was transported to the hospital, police said.

The driver of the white Toyota truck, with license plate number ADE666 from an unknown state, took off after the crash.

Anyone who has information on the driver or spots the vehicle is being asked to call police at 720-913-2000.

A Medina Alert honors the memory of Jose Medina, a 21-year-old valet driver who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in 2011. A taxi driver witnessed the event, followed the driver and gave police the license plate number, leading to the capture and arrest of the suspect.
