DENVER — Denver police have taped off multiple areas around 21st Street and Champa Street as they investigate a fatal shooting Monday morning.
Police said around 4:30 a.m. Monday, the department received a report about somebody shot at 21st and Champa. When they arrived at the intersection, they found a deceased man on the sidewalk.
As of 5:15 a.m., suspect information was not available.

There is no threat to the public, they said.
The intersections of 20th Street and Curtis Street, 21st Street and Curtis Street, and 21st Street and Champa Street were closed as police work at the scene. Around 6:10 a.m., 21st and Curtis reopened, but 21st and Champa remained closed.
