DENVER – Either Denver residents are getting better at driving or people in other cities are getting worse: Denver dropped several spots on an annual list of cities with the worst drivers.
The ranking, from insurance website QuoteWizard, names Denver drivers as the 15th worst in the country. Last year, we were ranked ninth.
QuoteWizard’s analysis aims to determine the quality of a city’s drivers by looking at the numbers of car crashes, speeding tickets, DUI cases and citations for traffic infractions like running a red light.
Base on all of those factors, drivers in Omaha, Nebraska are the worst in the country, according to QuoteWizard. Riverside and Sacramento follow in second and third place, respectively.
Denver wasn’t the only Colorado city to make the list: Colorado Springs was ranked 46th.
