DENVER -- All southbound lanes of Interstate 25 were closed at 6th Avenue overnight due to a deadly rollover.
The crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
An SUV was going the wrong direction on I-25 and collided head-on with a pickup truck which was traveling southbound, according to Doug Schepman with the Denver Police Department.
The male driver of the SUV died. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but was expected to survive, according to Denver Police spokesperson Sonny Jackson.

Drivers were being diverted off of I-25 onto westbound 6th Avenue while officers investigated the crash.
"It is unknown at this point in time if he (the driver) was impaired," said Jackson.

Police were still investigating where the SUV entered the interstate. They received reports of the vehicle going the wrong way as far south as University Boulevard.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash.
All lanes of the interstate reopened around 5:40 a.m.
