CHATFIELD RESERVOIR, Colo. — Crews from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, South Metro Fire Rescue and other agencies returned to Chatfield Reservoir Saturday and Sunday to search and recover a missing person from the water.
CPW confirmed an 18-year-old man went missing Friday afternoon near the swim beach.
A dive team searched the water Friday but failed to locate the man. During Friday’s search, a rescue boat capsized. However, everyone on board were pulled from the water and no injuries were reported.
Crews have used sonar and a helicopter in their search for the missing man, but so far have come up empty. Search efforts Friday continued beyond midnight — until 2 a.m. Saturday. It picked back up during daylight hours on Saturday and through Sunday, but the man was not located.
Search efforts will resume Monday.
