Colorado Springs hail storm causes over $352 million in damages

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- More than $352 million in insurance claims were filed after a July hailstorm pounded parts of Colorado Springs.

The Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association released the numbers Tuesday, saying tennis-ball sized hail that fell in July damaged more than 84,000 cars and homes.

The July storm ranks as the state’s 4th most expensive hailstorm, according to the Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association.
