Colorado Lottery sets up a real-life PokeStop in Denver's Confluence Park

DENVER -- The Colorado Lottery has set up a real-life PokeStop in Denver's Confluence Park in an effort to raise awareness.

A six-foot-tall blue cube, that resembles the digital icon in the widely popular PokemonGO app, has been set up in the park to remind players how the Lottery helps Colorado's parks and open spaces.

More than $1 million in lottery funds have been used to improve and revitalize Confluence Park. Almost $16 million more in proceeds have been used along the South Platte River and Cherry Creek corridors, according the Colorado Lottery spokesperson, Kelly Tabor.

Tabor says the cube is a temporary art installation that people can visit this week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The cube is located on the lawn next to the bike path, between Cherry Creek and the bridge to REI.
