Climbing Colorado 14er Mount Shavano

I didn't know what to expect when I decided to climb Mt. Shavano for my first 14er. Little did I know that the trail there was one of the hardest to maneuver. I had a chance to hike up Mt. Shavano with a the Colorado Fouteeners Initiative a non-profit group leading the country in high-altitude trail-building, terrain-restoration and hiker-education. They just purchased 2 mining claims in order to construct a more maneuverable and public trail for all hikers up Mt. Shavao in the future.
