Centennial man suffers life threatening injuries in high-speed rollover on I-225

AURORA, Colo. — A Centennial man has life threatening injuries after a rollover crash involving a cement truck on I-225 Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on I-225 southbound just south of Mississippi Avenue. Aurora Police said a 35-year-old man was driving in a 2016 Hyundai Veloster at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the back of a cement truck and rolled. The driver was ejected from the car and it caught fire.

I-225 southbound was shutdown for several hours for the investigation. It reopened shortly after 5 a.m.
