A CDOT worker was hit by a wrong-way driver on I-25 Monday morning, the Colorado State Patrol said.
Investigators said a driver was heading northbound in the southbound lanes on I-25, near Johnstown, around 3 a.m., when the driver hit the CDOT worker, then crashed into the worker's truck head-on.
The worker, and two women in the suspect vehicle, were taken to the hospital.
A hazardous materials cleanup team was called out to the scene because of a spill of about 20 gallons, officials said. They did not say what the liquid was.
