LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — The Cameron Peak Fire in western Larimer County saw minimal growth Wednesday and remained at 42% containment, as conditions remained dry and warm.

The fire was 129,055 acres, according to Thursday morning's update, up from 128,184 acres Wednesday.

Crews are continuing to work to contain the fire along the perimeter, which now totals more than 240 miles. A Red Flag warning was issued for the fire Thursday. The area remains critically dry.

Mandatory evacuations were still in place for Red Feather Lakes, Crystal Lakes and Glacier View. Go here for a full list of Larimer County evacuations and road closures.

The fire, now the third-largest in Colorado recorded history, started in the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests near Cameron Pass and Chambers Lake Aug. 13. Its cause is under investigation.
