DENVER -- Blue Bell, the company that says it has the "best ice cream in the country," will be returning to the Denver area in March.

Blue Bell Ice Cream tweeted Monday that it will be returning to Denver, and surrounding cities, on March 27.

The company voluntarily recalled all of its products in April 2015 after they were linked to 10 listeria cases in four states, including three deaths in Kansas.

Blue Bell Creameries restarted selling limited flavors in select cities in Texas in August 2015. Its been slowly expanding since then.

Blue Bell's website says it has made changes since the problems in 2015.

"We have upgraded our procedures and employee training and  have adopted the same overall philosophy at all of our  facilities, to include: enhanced manufacturing procedures; increased focus on sanitation and cleaning;  retained an independent microbiology expert for ongoing evaluation of our procedures and facilities; implemented a “test and hold” procedure, where production runs will be tested and held until results are received before being distributed to market; and we’ve entered into voluntary agreements with the Alabama Department of Public Health, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry and the Texas Department of State Health Services."

No store locations have been announced yet, but Blue Bell officials said the ice cream will be available at most major supermarkets and drug stores when it returns.
