WALDEN, Colo. -- People affected by the Beaver Creek Fire near the Colorado-Wyoming border can now go home.
Evacuation orders were lifted at 6 a.m. for residents and property owners displaced by the blaze which was burned nearly 37,000 acres since it was first reported June 19.
The fire is 53 percent contained, according to fire officials.
There are 205 fire personnel fighting the fire in heavy, beetle-killed timber, the Forest Service said.
