DENVER — Crews are searching a Denver lake for a man after his boat came ashore unoccupied Sunday afternoon.

The missing boater has been identified as 74-year-old Gordon Ham.

The Denver Fire Department said Ham and his dog went out boating on Harvey Park Lake at 4630 W. Evans Ave. earlier in the day. Neighbors later spotted the empty boat and called 911, according to the department. The man's dog was later found safe.

Police said Ham is a 6-foot-tall white male with brown hair and blue eyes and walks with a significant disability.

He was last seen wearing jeans with red suspenders and light-colored shirt.
