AURORA, Colo. — Authorities are looking for three detainees who escaped from the immigration detention facility in Aurora around noon Sunday.

A Denver Police spokesman confirmed that they received a request at 12:14 p.m. to help search for the escapees from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility at 3130 North Oakland Street in Aurora.

An Aurora police spokesman also confirmed that ICE had requested their assistance at the detention facility just before 1 p.m. But the Aurora police spokesman said Denver7 would have to ask ICE for details about the incidents. Names and descriptions of the three detainees were not released.

Denver7 reached out repeatedly for information from ICE officials in Colorado, Texas and Washington, D.C., but still have not received a reply.

Denver7 also contacted the Geo Group, which manages the facility, but could get no information about the escape.
