Austin-based Firmspace brings 'luxury' coworking space to Denver

Posted

DENVER - Downtown Denver is getting a new coworking space for business people who are looking for office space without having to sign a long-term lease.

Austin-based Firmspace announced that it will open its second U.S. location at 14th and Lawrence streets in lower downtown. The company just launched in Austin last year.

Coworking facilities like Firmspace offer private offices, conference rooms and other shared work spaces to different businesses under one roof.

Whereas other coworking facilities like WeWork tend to focus on young entrepreneurs and startups, Firmspace bills itself as a provider of office space for more established professionals like lawyers and executives.

Firmspace says its spaces offer a "sophisticated aesthetic" with amenities like dry cleaning services, workout facilities, event space and free food and drinks.

"We launched Firmspace in Austin with a vision of serving the needs of professionals desiring security, privacy, methodical design and an elevated atmosphere without the constraints of a long-term lease, or the noise of an open office," said co-founder and CEO Matt Ferstler. "The traction we're seeing from professionals ranging from lawyers to c-suite executives is incredible, confirming our analysis of the huge market need for high level executive suite workspaces."

The company's Denver location is set to open in late April.

Firmspace has plans to expand to a number of other U.S. cities, including Salt Lake City, Atlanta, Miami and New York.
