Six high school seniors are about to embark on the religious trip of a lifetime. They're going to see the Pope.
The group from Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora will fly to Philadelphia to meet up with other high schoolers, and see the Pope say mass this coming weekend.
"So just the fact that he's coming to the U.S., to Philadelphia, and that I'm getting the chance to go to see him is something really amazing and something that I wouldn't have thought of in my wildest dreams," student Chibueze Agwu said.
The students know that they may only see a glimpse of the Pope, crowded in with hundreds of thousands of other spectators, but they say it'll still be worth it.
"It's going to be crowded, but I am just so excited to see him live in person. It's going to be really amazing," student Cassidy Roderick added.
The students were chosen to go on the trip by writing essays.
The Pope will land in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday. He travels to New York City on Thursday, and will be in Philadelphia for the weekend before returning to Rome.
