CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Kingahnah Grant said working at the Arc Thrift Store in Centennial is a little bit magical.
"Sometimes I refer to it as the moving staircase, from Harry Potter, because we’re always changing things," he said.
The constant change keeps Grant busy. His job involves organizing the rack of shoes and clothes at the Centennial store.
Grant is also an Arc Ambassador. Arc Ambassadors are adults with disabilities who participate in special programs when they're not working. Grant has been able to attend classes through Arc University, and enjoys spending time with his fellow ambassadors and coworkers.
"Usually I get here early... and I just wait, and converse with everyone until it’s time to clock in," he said.
We asked Grant if he could describe his workplace in just one word.
"I don’t think one word would do it justice," he said. "I could say that this place is magical. It just brings a certain type of spirit. It humbles you. It also reminds you why you get up in the morning and smile."
