DENVER -- Both nostalgia and cash were flowing as the "Antiques Roadshow" for toys came through Denver on Wednesday.

In just a few hours, more than a dozen people brought their old toys, their collectible toys, and even their junk toys to get an appraisal from Joel Magee, the self-proclaimed "Toy Scout."

Star Wars, tin trucks, comic books, Barbies, and model trains were among the favorites, some of which the Toy Scout bought on the spot for cash.

Toby Owens brought her childhood collection of Classics Illustrated comic books that she had collected in the 40s and 50s as a little girl.

"I wanted them to go to someone else who could appreciate them," she said.

Owens sold her collection for $200.

"America's Toy Scout" will be at the Marriott Denver Cherry Creek, 1475 S. Colorado Blvd., through April 7th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free. For more information head to http://www.americastoyscout.com.
