DENVER — Colorado authorities canceled an Amber Alert for a missing 9-year-old girl after she was found safe and unharmed in Maryland Sunday.
Sloan Lipnick, a resident of Basalt, was last seen in the Denver metro area early Saturday morning. She was believed to be with her non-custodial parent, 39-year-old Carly Lipnick.
On Sunday, police in Basalt said Sloan was handed over to Carly Lipnick's sister in Maryland, and the 39-year-old woman took off. Her location is unknown.
