DENVER -- Every weekend, Denver7 compiles a list of some fun events you might enjoy. Here are our picks for the 7 best things to do in the Denver metro area and beyond this weekend.

1. 5280 Dines
What: 5280 Dines celebrates the talented local chefs featured on this year's 5280 25 Best Restaurants list. Enjoy delicious bites from many of these chefs, as well as partake in open bars and sampling stations.
Where: The Hangar at Stanley, 2501 Dallas St. #135, Aurora
When: Sunday, Oct. 20, 6 to 9 p.m.

2. Bloody Mary Festival
What: Looking for a little spice or bite to your Sunday morning? The Bloody Mary Liberation Party, which is hosting the event, scoured the state for the best Bloody Marys. A ticket will get you more than two hours with your choice of drinks (and yes, snacks are included). Enjoy your Bloody Mary inside or on the outdoor patio. This event is expected to sell out and you must be 21 years old or older to participate.
Where: EXDO Event Center, 1399 35th Street, Denver
When: Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Admission: $45-$55 per session

3. Applefest at Ya Ya Farm and Orchard
What: This annual family friendly event in Longmont has become a tradition in the community. While the event doesn't include apple picking, a ticket will get you delicious food and treats, live music and unlimited hay rides. After tickets for the Saturday event sold out, they extended it into Sunday.
Where: 6914 Ute Highway, Longmont
When: Saturday and Sunday, 3:30-6 p.m.
Admission: $25 for people 8 years old and up, $12 for anybody under the age of 8. Admission is $3 for children under 3 years old.

4. Repticon
What: This traveling reptile show and sale features live exotic animals from around the world. You can learn more about the animals, watch demonstrations and purchase animals as well.
Where: Arapahoe County Fairgrounds, 25690 E. Quincy Ave., Aurora
When: Oct. 19 & 20
Admission: Several ticket packages available, starting at $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5 to 12. Kids ages 4 and under are free.

5. Downtown Hot Air Balloon Glow in Durango
What: Get an up-close look at hot air balloons right in downtown Durango at this free family-friendly event, which is part of the Animas Valley Balloon Rally.
Where: Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, 5th Street and Main Avenue
When: Friday, Oct. 18, 5:45 to 8 p.m. (subject to change based on weather)

6. Fall Flannel Fest
What: The Denver Milk Market is celebrating all things fall with the Fall Flannel Fest. This family-friendly event will feature live music, art, trick-or-treating, seasonal food and drinks, carnival games and more.

7. World Singing Day
