FORT COLLINS, Colo. - An adult and a child are dead and two other people are in the hospital following a head-on crash in Fort Collins Sunday morning.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Harmony Road and Hinsdale Drive at about 11:40 a.m.
Police said the driver of a Pontiac Vibe headed west on Harmony Road crossed over the center lane and crashed head-on into a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck.
The driver of the Pontiac died at the scene. The driver of the pickup, identified as Brian Sauer, 42, of Fort Collins, and two children who were inside the Pontiac were taken to the hospital. One of the children was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Monday afternoon, the Larimer County coroner identified the driver of the Pontiac as Traci Salazar, 32, of Fort Collins. The child who died at the hospital was Salazar's, and was identified as 7-year-old Alika Salazar.

Harmony Road was closed for several hours due to the crash but has since reopened.
