Authorities say the driver of a car that caused a five-vehicle crash at a stoplight in Loveland died and three others were injured.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports the crash happened on U.S. Highway 287 and Colorado Highway 402 at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The name of the person who died has not been released.

Loveland police say that according to witnesses the driver who caused the accidents was driving fast while four other vehicles were slowing down for a red light. Police say the driver who was not slowing down for the light rear-ended one vehicle, causing other crashes.

Two women and an 18-month old child were taken to a hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

Police are still investigating the accident.
