LAKEWOOD, Colo. — One person was taken into custody following a multi-vehicle crash in Lakewood that seriously injured several people.
At 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Lakewood Police Department received several 911 calls regarding a multi-vehicle crash at S. Vance Street and W. Alameda Avenue.
When police arrived at the scene of the crash, they found several involved vehicles and multiple people with serious injuries.
A driver who was in a black Toyota FJ Cruiser (pictured above) was taken into custody, police said. Police are investigating drugs and speeding as contributors to the crash.
Detectives are asking for the public's help on this case. Anybody who saw the FJ Cruiser before the incident or witnessed the crash is asked to call police at 303-763-6800.
The conditions of the injured people are not available.
