1 dead in early-morning shooting in Aurora

AURORA, Colo. — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in Aurora early Christmas morning.

Aurora police said they responded to a report of a shooting in the 17000 block of East Kansas Place a little after 2 a.m. Wednesday and found a man inside a home suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they are actively investigating the shooting as a homicide and are searching for a suspect. Further details weren’t immediately available.
