EAGLE, Colo. — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Eagle were closed for several hours Wednesday following a deadly crash.

A 17-year-old girl, whose identity has not been released, was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash near the Eagle exit. The crash happened in the eastbound lanes around 6 p.m.

Troopers say the teen was the only girl in the vehicle at the time of the crash. No other cars were involved.

The Colorado State Patrol shut down both eastbound lanes while they investigated the cause of the crash. Eastbound traffic was being diverted onto U.S. 6.
