As the first major professional rodeo of the year, 727 cowboys and cowgirls traveled to Denver for their chance at the National Western title. The National Western Stock Show hosts a Military Appreciation Night at one of the Pro Rodeos each year. More than 2,000 seats are given away to military personnel, and an additional $23,428 was raised as part of the “Treat the Troops” program.
