GALLERY: 20,000 wreaths placed on gravestones at Fort Logan National Cemetery
Over 2,000 volunteers showed up to take part in this year's "Wreaths Across America Day" at Fort Logan. A total of 20,000 handmade fir wreaths were placed on gravestones. Two years ago, there were less than 3,000 wreaths for the graves. There are over 106,000 graves at Fort Logan and only 19 percent of the graves got a wreath. Organizers hope to have even more donations for next year. (Photos: Denver7 photojournalist Mike Erickson)
