Three people were injured Thursday night by two different vehicles on Highway 85 in Weld County, the Sheriff's Office confirmed with 7NEWS.
A person who was crossing Highway 85 in the town of Gilcrest was hit by a car at approximately 7:43 p.m. A driver with a passenger inside the car saw the person was struck and both got out to help.
They too were struck by another car on the highway.
One of the victims was taken by helicopter to North Colorado Medical Center. The other two were taken to the same hospital by ambulance.
Both directions on Highway 85 are currently closed through traffic, Weld County Sheriff spokesman Matt Turner said.
