AMBER Alert for 2-year-old child in Thornton canceled; Child found safe, CBI says

DENVER – An AMBER Alert issued out of Thornton Sunday for a 2-year-old child with a severe medical condition has been canceled, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation confirmed with Denver7. 

The child was found safe and the mother and her accomplice were taken into custody, according to a tweet from the Thornton Police Department.

The alert was issued after the child was reportedly taken by her biological mother in the area of East 104th Avenue and York Street.

The mother and child were believed to be in Denver in a 2012 white Toyota Tundra with Colorado license plates RDQ-126.

The alert was sent as the the child has a severe heart condition and requires close monitoring, according to the Thornton Police Department.
