THORNTON, Colo. -- Two girls have reported a man for lewd comments and a lewd act this month in Thornton, police said.

The first incident happened October 3rd in the area of 134th Avenue and High Street.

In that case, a 12-year-old girl told police she was walking home from school when a man in a white car pulled up next to her and motioned for her to come over to the car.

"The victim stated she observed the suspect sitting in his car naked and performing a lewd act," Thornton Police said.

After the girl saw him, the man drove off.

A week later, on October 11, a third of a mile away, at High and Franklin streets, a 13-year-old girl told police she was walking home from school when a man drove up in a white car, made lewd suggestive comments and then drove away.

In the second case, the suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 40 to 50 years old who spoke English with a Spanish accent.

Police said they believe these incidents are related.
