PARK COUNTY, Colo. – Deputies are asking for your help to find a Park County teen who has been missing since Friday, about the same time her home was damaged from a fire which deputies believe was intentionally set.
17-year-old Maggie Long’s family told Park County Sheriff’s Office deputies they became concerned after she did not go to a concert at Platte Canyon High School, where the teen is a senior.
Park County Undersheriff Dave Wohlers told Denver7 sheriff’s investigators, fire officials and Colorado Bureau of Investigation agents investigated the scene of the suspected arson at the family home located at 3700 County Road 43 on Saturday.
Wohlers told Denver7 they do not have search parties out looking for Long, adding they’re also working to see if there’s a connection between her disappearance and the family home fire.
Deputies are focusing on the teen’s communications from after school – approximately at around 2:30 p.m. – until about 8 p.m. Friday.
“If you have any contact, please reach out. If you have heard anything strange or seen anything out of the ordinary, it might be a significant detail. Please help us to fill in the gap,” Wohlers said.
If you have any information about Long’s whereabouts, you are asked to call the Park County Sheriff’s substation number (303) 838-4441.
