PARKER, Colo. -- Parker Police are asking parents and grandparents to double check that their doors are baby and toddler proof.
The police department said its responded to several incidents of toddlers escaping from their homes and wandering their neighborhoods.
"Cabinet locks and baby gates are good things that most everyone thinks about when baby-proofing," Parker Police said, "But also please keep in mind the front, back, side and garage doors to the house."
Police are recommending that families use high locks to keep toddlers inside.
