LOVELAND, Colo. -- A hunter was rescued from a quick sand-like area near Loveland on Tuesday morning.
Loveland Fire Rescue said the man got trapped in the sand near the Simpson Ponds State Wildlife Area, off County Road 9E, southeast of Loveland around 815 a.m.
Officials said firefighters found the man, formulated a rescue plan and got the hunter out of the sand.
The victim's condition has not been released.
The Simpson Ponds SWA is known for hunting dove and waterfowl.
