LONGMONT, Colo. – More than 100 people are expected to line the streets of Longmont Saturday in support of their right to bear arms.
The Rally for our Rights – Longmont event is expected to go on from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. near the intersection of Hover Street and Nelson Road.
According to organizers, the rally “will be a non-permitted event exercising our First Amendment right to protest on public sidewalks.”
There will be no speakers or set agenda, but demonstrators are encouraged to bring signs, banners and flags to show their support for the Second Amendment.
The organizers of the event ask that you do not bring Confederate, Anarchy, Trump or “other political propaganda flags,” and they also ask that you refrain from brining materials which could advocate or attack a particular party of ideology beyond the Second Amendment.
The event will be raising funds for the Longmont Humane Society. Cash donations are encouraged.
