LITTLETON, Colo. -- Rescuers had to extricate someone from a Corvette Friday morning after it crashed into a pole and caught fire on Santa Fe Drive, near Belleview Avenue.
The crash happened around 2:20 a.m.
The victim who was extricated was taken to the hospital. That person's condition was not released.
A second person who was in the Corvette, managed to get out of the car.
Officers told Denver7 that the second person left the scene, but was found nearby, put into handcuffs and taken to the hospital.
Officers did not say why that person was taken into custody, but officials are saying this is a felony accident investigation.
Southbound Santa Fe Drive was closed for more than seven hours for the investigation.
During that investigation, a driver on northbound Santa Fe, which was open, hit a police vehicle.
