Colorado Cold Cases: Mark Groezinger went to play pool and was found murdered the next day

Posted

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- On April 6, 1984, Mark Groezinger told his wife, and one of her friends, that he was going out to play some pool at a local bar.

He didn't come home.

The next morning, deputies found a body in the front seat of a parked car at Mother Cabrini Shrine, just off Interstate 70 at highway 40.

The body they found belonged to Mark.

Police found him dead in his blue and white, two-door, 1973 Buick.

Investigators said Mark had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and that jewelry and keys were taken from his car.

He was 29-years-old when he died.

Mark worked in Denver for a concrete coring company and enjoyed motorcycle riding and playing pool at local taverns.
